Week 7 Weigh-in!

So last night was the 7th weekly weigh-in. And I'm down another 2.5lbs!!!

I'm very pleased. And mostly because I've hit the 1.5stone mark (21lbs) but also because I've also lost 10% of my weight!!! We get these lovely incentive stickers as I'm sure I mentioned in my video blogs (which have now definately stopped), I stick mine on the back of my membership card.

I was ridiculously chuffed with myself last night, even though I'm pretty sure I didn't lose all that much last week (we had a week off for Easter where I did an at home weigh in). The achievement has, I think, pushed me back on the good wagon.I'm getting quite fond at rediscovering my wardrobe.

This weekends weather has been glorious (a rarity in Northern Ireland) and I decided to hoke out my favourite pair of shorts. They’re sort of like pedal pushers, and I tried them on, on Sunday. They fit, quite comfortably. I haven’t been able to wear those in over a year. I’m beyond happy about that.

Anyway, I went to the meeting last night with my mum, who has now lost her stone and is very close to her target weight (Go Mammy!) and we were the only ones to get our wee stickers last night.

Remember the girls I had a rant about in my last entry? Well they were there again last night. And although I tried to forget the selfishness of last week, I couldn’t. It’s the same bother I have in some classes in University. Where certain people in the lecture have a habit of interrupting the lecturer just to hear the sound of their own voices, they don’t contribute anything to the class, they just like to talk. And that drives me mad in Uni. It’s doing the same in Weightwatchers. I’m now considering switching meetings just to get away from them. I’ll give it another few weeks first, perhaps they'll improve? I'll also probably wait until my Mam stops going, maybe as that’s the only class that fits her working schedule but we’ll see...

The nice weather makes me itch to run again, or cycle, but due to final year of degree and a ridiculous amount of work to do I don't think I'll be doing much else for the next week or so. I have about another 6,000 words to do for Monday. It's not good.

Anyway, summing up, very very very pleased with this weeks success. Hopefully I'll manage to keep at it!

And I much prefer writing to the video blogs, they take up way too much memory on my laptop anyway.

Sarah.
